    Teak grates for boat.

    by Don Gray

First attempt making teak grates for marine application. Happy with the results but would make them differently next time.

i made these using cross lap joints and tongue and groove. next time i would make the main pieces from a single piece 1" with dados about 1/2" deep. then rip the 1" pieces with the dados to smaller size and have 1/2" pieces for the field would be stronger, easier, and more accepted way of making them.
